We’re a family-owned business focused on helping people fulfill their dreams of owning land. My name is Jeff Fassett, the managing member of SouthWest Land Deals. I am a real estate investor and real estate Broker here in Arizona. I love Arizona and have chosen to build my business and raise my family here. My team and I are excited to partner with you to help you find that perfect piece of land in the state that we love.
Education, honesty, and integrity are the cornerstones of Southwest Land Deals, and we have developed a strong reputation in the Arizona real estate and land investment community for our ability to find great investment opportunities for our clients. Over the years, we have spoken in multiple real estate classes aimed to educate both buyers and sellers. Our passion for education can be seen in how our company treats every client with the goal to truly partner with them to give them the knowledge to make solid real estate decisions.

Our Team
Jeff Fassett~ Born and raised in Arizona (a 3rd generation Arizonian, actually), Jeff received a undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona, earning a Finance Degree from the Eller College of Business. While at U of A, he was captain of the cheer squad, and a member of numerous organizations around campus. He went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Education from Northern Arizona University and spent 6 years teaching and coaching cheer at a local high school, winning a state championship in 2009! In his free time he enjoys spending time at home with his amazing wife and two children as well as partaking in a variety of activities including mountain biking, scuba diving, snow and water skiing, adventure racing, hunting, gardening, coaching the kids’ sports teams, and competitive curling.
Mikael Hughes~ Mikael is an Arizona native with a passion for the outdoors. Her joy for trail running and cycling has allowed her to personally explore hundreds of miles of our beautiful state of Arizona. She brings this enthusiasm and unique experience to her work here at Investment Land Alliance. Mikael is the office manager and point of contact between Investment Land Alliance and our customers, title companies, county officials, and other companies that we work with. In addition, Mikael has her BA in History from Arizona State University. She has a strong history working in marketing and special project management.
Cheryl Jones~ Born and raised in Arizona, Cheryl joined the family business a few years ago and has loved learning all about real estate. She married her high school sweetheart nearly 50 years ago and they have 2 wonderful sons and 3 even better grandkids. Cheryl spent 30 years being a dental assistant in Yuma while also owning and operating a painting contracting company with her husband for 36 years. In their free time, they enjoy hunting, fishing, and camping (these days, it all about camping in the 5th wheel). Cheryl enjoys traveling the back roads of the desert in the winter time and the mountains of Northern Arizona in the summer time in the Can-Am
Tiffany Gutierrez~ A native to Arizona, Tiffany grew up and followed the family footsteps to the University of Arizona where she earned an undergraduate degree in Communications. She then went on to intern and later work for an Arizona magazine publisher in the Editorial Department. In 2006, she married her husband and his Air Force career took them to Japan for four years where she taught English to a wonderful group of people. They moved back to the states in 2010 when Tiffany joined the family business to help write property listings and manage the websites. Currently, Tiffany, Rogelio, and their two fantastic kids live in Missouri. She loves playing with the family, reading, volunteering, and trying new things including the latest family hobby of fishing.
Darl Fassett~ Darl was born in Yuma, Arizona, where he is one of nine children. Throughout his youth, he loved the outdoors and athletics—he was even the captain of the Yuma High School State Championship wrestling team of 1963! From Yuma he moved to Tucson and earned a degree from the University of Arizona in Landscape Architecture. He then moved to Phoenix to start a small design firm. Throughout the 1980s, he built a successful real estate development company along with designing many projects that can still be viewed today. These days, he enjoys the quiet life at his home on a mountain top in Carefree (a small town North of Phoenix), playing with his four grandkids, and providing valuable guidance to our company based on his 50 years of real estate knowledge.
Joshua Lewis~ Joshua is a long time Arizona resident that, after joining the military, finished his education at Arizona State University. Pursuing an advanced degree took him to the midwest for a few years, but he followed his heart home to Arizona in 2005. He and his wife have one daughter that keeps them busy. Josh and Jeff met and became lifelong friends (and later business partners) in Middle School. They have been investing in real estate together for over a decade. Josh’s main role in this company is strategic planning. When Josh is not working he enjoys a variety of outdoor activities that Arizona offers, including hiking, running, mountain biking, and hunting.
